Raspberry Pi (2)

In my previous post, I talked about me purchasing a Raspberry Pi and wanting to run Openmediavault as my NAS set-up.

Well, it happened, I succeeded. The Raspberry Pi is running as a NAS. Still in its basic form, as it is not yet redundant.

But I have ordered the necessary hardware to build a decent back-up solution as well.

Meanwhile, I am exploring and discovering the functionality of Openmediavault. Still in a phase that I can break things and the impact will not be that big.

Another thing that I have set up, although it is not that difficult, is a Tailscale. With Tailscale is built on WireGuard and creates a secure network, where the communication between your machines that are added to the tailscale can communicate directly with each other securely. Adding a so-called end-pot to the tailscale, and it functions as a VPN, enforcing your machines to communicate with the internet via that end-point server.

So the Raspberry Pi journey is not finished yet, the story continues.
